Chapter 1 - 5: Weirdo

I was back in the classroom again. The weirdo was puzzled when I opened my eyes. Without any delay I quickly ran over to the male stranger. I sat down calmly, put my both palms above his solar plexus and speak to my inner-self, ‘Please, please heal him from fatigue’. I said this to myself repeatedly. To my surprise, a light yellow aura was emitted from my palms and went into the man’s solar plexus. Soon his body was surrounded by blue aura, and he woke up.

‘Where is the demon now?’, the male stranger asked me. ‘There!’ I pointed my fingers at the weirdo who was still puzzled. ‘Heal my friend also, please. I need her to defeat the demon’, he begged at me. I nodded.

The male stranger stood up again. This time he put both of his hand on his solar plexus. Though I still did not understand what he was doing, I quickly moved to the female stranger and repeated my healing to her. She eventually woke up, but I felt extremely fatigue.

‘Thank you for healing me,’ she said. She quickly stood up again and ran towards the demon. Though I was so tired that it was difficult for me to move now, I walked towards Marcus and put my hands above him.
While I was healing Marcus, the man was still standing there with the same gesture, but the woman had already stood in front of the weirdo. She closed her eyes and faced her palms to the demon. It was unbelievable! I could see streams of golden light emanating from her palms, directed to the weirdo. The golden light penetrated every single part of the weirdo until she disappeared.

I am so relieved and close my eyes…

Chapter 1 - 4: Weirdo

What should I do?

I kept asking myself. I really wanted to wake him up, but countless attempts that Marcus and I had done failed.

‘You fool!’ the female stranger shouted at me. ‘Use your psychic healing you dumb! Quick!’ she scolded me loudly. ‘Psychic healing?’ I was surprised. Was there something called psychic healing? Shouldn’t it be done only by mediums or channelers? When I looked at Marcus, his expression showed that he was sharing the same thought with me.

‘I can’t withstand this demon’s attack anymore; her attack is far stronger than mine! Do the healing now or we are going to die now!’ The female stranger shouted again, but this time I could say that her sound was obviously weaker than before.

How could these things possibly exist in this world? A weirdo that always slept in class and woke up only when the class was over; a man that suddenly fainted and needed psychic healing; a woman that was fighting with a demon… These things simply didn’t exist in this world! Was I in the midst of a dream? Yes, I was dreaming and I could leave now. Why should I care for these?

When I was walking out of the room, suddenly I heard a loud sound. The female stranger had fainted! ‘Please, please use your healing ability, you are a psychic healer. This is not a dream…’ she begged at me. Her sound was much weaker. It was almost impossible for me to hear it.

‘What should we do now, Wyatt? Marcus asked anxiously. The weirdo approached Marcus. She was murmuring something again. In a split second Marcus had fainted as well!

How could she do that? I took out my pocket knife, trying to defend myself from her. I started to believe that the weirdo was a demon. But it was too late. The weirdo approached me while murmuring something that I couldn’t understand. I was so scared that I closed my eyes and waved my knife in front of me.

I was on the top of a mountain. It was snowing heavily. I was chilled by the snow and the cold wind. All I could see was snow around me. Thought it was extremely cold, the scenery was extraordinary. I couldn’t help but enjoyed the scenic view of the mountain top.

Suddenly, the wind became stronger and colder. The beautiful scenery faded away completely. A blizzard had struck the mountain top where I was sitting at! The snowstorm was so violent that I couldn’t withstand the coldness anymore. The blizzard threatened to freeze me up and blow me away. I tried to scream for help but I couldn’t even open my mouth.

‘Please, please stop the blizzard’, I spoke to myself. All of a sudden I felt my solar plexus becoming warmer and warmer. I could see beams of red light covering my whole body. The snow around my body was melted by those streams of light. With the protection of the warm red light, I could withstand the coldness brought by the blizzard.

I was back in the classroom again. The weirdo was puzzled when I opened my eyes. Deep in my heart I knew what I should do…

Chapter 1 - 3: Weirdo

I was ready to face my death. I closed my eyes.

Suddenly, a golden light penetrated my eyes. I was surrounded by streams of golden light emanating from the sky. The light was so intense that I cannot open my eyes fully. Those streams of light penetrated every single shark until they all submerged.

I was sitting on the floor, sweating profusely. I was back in the classroom again. This time the weirdo had stood up, but she was not looking at me. I tried to recall what had happened before, but the intense pain in my head made it impossible. Marcus gripped my hand and helped me to stand up.

I could see two strangers standing besides me. ‘Who are you?’ I asked them. Marcus whispered besides me, saying that these strangers suddenly appeared and did something weird so that I waked up. Why are there so many weirdos?

The two strangers didn’t seem to care much about me. What they did was just staring at the weirdo. The weirdo was murmuring something again. I could see one of the strangers closed his eyes. ‘I’ll cast the defense while you take her down!’ he said to another stranger.

The stranger with both eyes closed stretched his arms. He was murmuring something that I couldn’t hear. Another stranger was doing something different. He kept staring at the weirdo.

All of a sudden Marcus and I were floating on a pool. Streams of blue and green light are shining out from the water. Reflection and refraction made the whole area around the pool totally lightened. Those fine beams of light formed a safety net around the pool. The beams of light became more and more intense, and we could hardly open our eyes

When we were surprised by the light surrounding us, suddenly the light weakened. Darkness covered the area around the pool. However, the light became strong again and both of us felt relief, even though we didn’t really know what was happening.

This didn’t last long; the darkness covered the pool on which we were floating again. This time the streams of light faded. When I opened my eyes, me and Marcus were back in the classroom again.

The stranger that closed his eyes before had fainted on the floor. Another stranger and the weirdo were still glaring to each other. When another stranger saw her friend fainted, she yelled at me, ‘What are you doing there, heal him immediately!’

‘Heal him?’ I asked her. How should I heal him? Using a first aid kit or calling an ambulance. Marcus and I were confused. ‘Hey! Are you deaf? Heal him now or we are going to die!’ She yelled at me again.

I could see her sweating profusely. The weirdo was still murmuring, but it was a bit louder now. Marcus was trying to wake the guy up, but he failed. I didn’t understand what she meant, but I could feel the situation was tense.

What should I do??

Chapter 1 - 2: Weirdo

‘Wait, I will try to wake her up and ask.’ I said to Marcus while shaking the girls shoulder. She didn’t move. I try to shake again violently, and she murmured, ‘Don’t disturb my sleep, or else you will know the consequence!’

‘Do you come to school to study or sleep?’ I shouted at her.

‘You!’ She woke up and looked at me. Her face sent shivers down my spine. Marcus gripped my hand and whispered to me, asking me to leave. But I refused. Marcus was scared, I knew.

‘Hey, you should thank me for waking you up so that you can follow the tutorial after this!’ I spoke to her firmly, though I am feeling scared as well.

‘Don’t bother.’ She stared at me again. This time she was murmuring something I couldn’t understand at all. ‘Hey, I wonder how a student like you can enter this university. Terrible!’ I started to feel angry.

Suddenly my mind became blank. I was sitting on a very small isolated island. All I can see is just sea water. ‘Where am I now? Why am I suddenly sitting in the middle of an ocean?’ I was thinking. All of a sudden many sharks rose above the sea water level, and moved towards the island where I was sitting!

‘Sharks!’ I yelled it out loudly. But no one was coming for help. I tried to find something on the beach that I could use to defend myself, but the island only had sand. ‘Please, someone please help me!’ I shouted as loud as I can. But all I could see was sea water, no one would come. I tried to find somewhere to hide, but failed.

The sharks came nearer and nearer. I was scared and screamed for help again and again, but no one came. To my horror, the island started to submerge, and the sharks had come nearer, opening their mouths, drooling. The island was fully submerged in the sea, and I was screaming for help, but again, no use.

Countless sharks had arrived, surrounding my body with their open mouths. I tried hard to find a route to escape by diving into the water, but the sharks were blocking my way. I could feel the intense pain of them biting my body and savoring my flesh. ‘Argggh……!’ I was screaming in agony. I still tried to release myself from the sharks, but the their number was countless and it was impossible to run away.

Much blood was flowing out from my body. This attracted more sharks to come to join the meal. With their sharp teeth, they tore away both my legs and hands. and next, my head…

Chapter 1 - 1: Weirdo

When I talk to my friends, they always laugh. I wonder why. When I approach my sad friends, their mood will certainly be lightened. I have used to this. It is normal for me. Perhaps I am born to be a comedian, who knows?

I have just finished my first Chemistry lecture, and enjoy having my lunch in the cafeteria. ‘G’day, Wyatt!’ , shouted Marcus to me. Marcus is my best friend. We are studying the same course in this university.

He sits besides me. ‘Hey, how was your first lecture?’, he asked curiously. ‘Well, I just don’t understand what the lecturer said’, I answered him while still eating my pasta. ‘Hey, you were the best student in our high school, yet you don’t understand?’

‘Best students still have things that they don’t understand, I m not a genius’. I stared at him. ‘Ok, I get what you mean, sorry,’ he said unwillingly. He stood up and walk to the counter to buy food. He knew me very well, how unhappy will I be when someone claims that I am a genius. In fact, I am a genius in cheering people up, I guess.

Marcus has finished buying his lunch. With his lunchbox still in hand he sat besides me and whispered to me. ‘You know what, Wyatt, there is a weirdo in my tutorial class!’ ‘Weirdo?’, I asked him, raising my eyebrows. ‘Yes, she always sleeps in class. No one can wake her up’, he said, ‘Well, after the class ended, she will wake up and ask me what the tutor has taught in the class. Isn’t she weird?’ he explained to me when opening his lunch box. ‘Doesn’t she realize that she has fallen asleep during the class?’ I ask, even I have already had the answer in mind.

‘No, she didn’t know it at all!’ yelled Marcus. I m surprised. Someone who doesn’t know that she has actually fallen asleep? Suddenly a creepy feeling comes to my mind. Would there be something abnormal with this person? Is she under a curse by a wicked witch, as in some children storybooks?

‘Hey Wyatt what are you thinking?’ Marcus shook my arm. ‘Could you please bring me to see this person?’ I asked. ‘Sure, I will have a tutorial later, maybe she is already in class’, said Marcus while still chewing his sausage roll, ‘Oops, it is about time now!’

We quickly finished our lunch, and hurried to Room 209. I wonder why, but a weird feeling kept lingering in my mind. We increased our speed, and finally come to the door of Room 209.

Marcus pushed the door open. The room is dimly lit but I can clearly see a shadowy figure sitting on a chair. Marcus pointed his finger to the person and whispered, ‘This is the weirdo!’

I walked near to the girl. It was very creepy to see that a person sleeping while sitting. Her eyes are closed tightly, and she keeps on murmuring. I try to wake her up by calling her, but I failed. I called her several times, but she was still sleeping. ‘Forget it, Wyatt. She won’t wake up!’, said Marcus, ‘You better go for you next lecture, or else you will be totally late.’

‘Wait, I will try to wake her up and ask.’ I said to Marcus while shaking the girls shoulder. She didn’t move. I try to shake again violently, and suddenly…!
